They may be considered man’s best friend, but a survey has revealed that it is actually women who have stronger bonds with their dogs than men. In fact, some women even admit telling their dogs their deepest, darkest secrets; secrets they don’t even tell their closest friend or spouse. Apparently, for many female dog owners, their dogs are not just a pet but a loved one who can sometimes read their minds. Men, however, often describe their pets as a trusted companion. In the survey, barely 10% of men were found open with their dogs while women made it to 14%. It is certainly not a question on which gender shows who love their pets more, or who buy their dogs healthy foods, or who housebreak their pets using wooden dog gates. The survey simply shows that many female dog owners are more emotionally attached to their pets.

Both men and women can be great dog owners. Both genders can be responsible when it comes to taking good care of their pets and training them to be obedient and loving. Both genders care deeply about their dog’s welfare. Although hunting may have been a male dominated activity in mankind’s distant past, the present years welcome women hunters who enjoy the activity. A survey released by the NSGA or the National Sporting Goods Association suggests that there had been more than 70 percent increase in the number of women hunters who use firearms in hunting over the last five years. This proves that women are not just the gatherers of the game anymore but are now among the skilled target shooters hunting in the wild.
